The Hollister Elementary School’s potential closure has raised concerns within the community. Beyond being a vital educational institution for local students, the local elementary school serves as a cornerstone for the community, acting as a central hub and fostering connections among residents. To safeguard its operation and ensure community involvement in decision-making, there is a growing consensus to transition Hollister Elementary into Hollister Charter School.

The following information is taken from the 2022-23 school year. The student population of Hollister Elementary School was 53 and the school served K-5. The school’s minority student enrollment was 34%. The student population was made up of 53% female students and 48% male students. The school enrolled 17% economically disadvantaged students. There were 4 equivalent full-time teachers.

The primary attendance area will mirror the Filer School District boundaries.
